Meet Todd Frankfort



A native Houstonian and 5th generation Texan, Todd Frankfort has over 27 years of legal expertise. Throughout his career, Todd has specialized in complex marital property issues, marital property agreements, post-divorce disputes, divorce and custody litigation, child support enforcement, international jurisdictional issues, and dispute resolution.
Prior to his family law practice, Todd’s practice involved real estate and commercial litigation, homeowner’s associations, leasing transactions, and purchase & sale transactions.

An active member of the Houston Bar Association and legal community, Todd is a frequent lecturer on family law matters. In addition, Todd has been active in numerous organizations including the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, Houston Volunteer Lawyers, Harris County Dispute Resolution Center, and has served on the Board of Directors of the Houston Bar Association and the Houston Lawyer Referral Service. Aside from his involvement in the legal community, Todd also serves on the Breeders Greeters and Gatekeepers Committees of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo.

Todd graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 1990 with a BA in American Studies. He then attended South Texas College of Law where he received his JD in 1994. Among his accolades, Todd has been selected as a “Super Lawyer” every year since 2012, received the Houston Bar Association “President’s Award” for outstanding service in 2004 and 2012, and received the Houston Bar Association “Merit Award” in 2003.

Todd is married to Sarah Frankfort, and is the proud father of two daughters, Lucy and Claire, who both attend Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge.  Along with his two dogs Murphy and Penny, the Frankfort family enjoys cooking, traveling together,
and exploring the outdoors.
